A grandmother suffering from schizophrenia and her 1-year-old granddaughter who were reported missing Monday morning from an East Garfield Park neighborhood home on the West Side have been safely located, police said Tuesday morning.

About 8 a.m., 49-year-old Christine Grant took her granddaughter, Aubriel Williams, from the home in the 3200 block of West Walnut, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Grant and Aubriel have been safely located, police announced Tuesday morning. Additional details were not available.
