A 21-year-old man was shot during a robbery Tuesday afternoon in the Lithuanian Plaza neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At 3:41 p.m., the 20-year-old was approached by three to four people in the 7000 block of South Rockwell when one of them pulled out a handgun and demanded money, according to Chicago Police. He complied and handed over cash, but was then shot in the right side of his chest.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
