A 22-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the chest Saturday afternoon on the South Side.

The shooting happened at 3:41 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Calumet in Washington Park, according to the police, who said he was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
