Police are warning residents of garage burglaries over a three-day period in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The burglaries occurred:

  • between 12:01 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 14 in the 4700 block of West Shakespeare Avenue;
  • between 2 p.m. Feb. 13 and 12:20 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 2200 block of North Monitor Avenue;
  • at 3:17 a.m. Feb. 15 in the 2900 block of North Monitor Avenue;
  • at 4:45 a.m. Feb. 15 in the 2900 block of North Monitor Avenue; and
  • between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and 12:50 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 5400 block of West Barry Avenue; and
  • between 6 p.m. Feb. 14 and 3:30 a.m. Feb. 15 in the 2900 block of North Marmora Avenue.

The suspect or suspects entered the garages through side doors, police said.
