Wilmette woman, 71, dies two weeks after being hit by car

A 71-year-old Wilmette woman has died two weeks after being hit by a car in the north suburb.

Elizabeth A. “Bette” Vitale died Thursday, according to the Wilmette police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

She was hit by a 2007 Lexus ES350 late Feb. 5 near her home in the 400 block of 10th Street, according to the police. Other details weren’t available.

Survivors include her husband Caesar Vitale, daughter Lisa Brege, sons Christopher Vitale and Andrew Vitale, three grandchildren, sisters Mary Hausner, Jackie Burns, Patti Interrante, Gina Interrante and Meg Harris and brothers Lester Interrante and Tim Interrante.Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Donnellan Family Funeral Home in Skokie. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m., Monday at Saint Francis Xavier Church in Wilmette.
