A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday night.

The 37-year-old was walking in the 4700 block of West Erie about 8:20 p.m. when someone shot him in the right shoulder before fleeing in a vehicle, police said.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
