Police warn of thefts in River North parking garages

Police are warning of a recent string of thefts in River North parking garages.

In five incidents, someone entered a parking garage during the early morning hours, broke vehicles’ windows and stole property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The thefts happened:

  • Jan. 25 in the 0 – 100 block of East Ontario;
  • Jan. 25 in the 0 – 100 block of West Kinzie;
  • Feb. 7 in the 700 block of North Rush;
  • Feb. 9 in the 0 – 100 block of West Chestnut; and
  • Feb. 19 in the 700 block of North Rush.
