Police are cautioning residents of the Lake View neighborhood after two armed robberies were reported in the same area within hours of each other.

According to an alert from Area North detectives, the robberies occurred about 2:25 a.m. on Feb. 21 in the 3600 block of North Greenview and about 4:07 a.m. in the 1300 block of West Cornelia.

In each instance, two men took the victim’s property by force or after they displayed a handgun, police said.

Police said the suspects are both black men between 20 and 25 years old. One of the men was armed with a handgun.
