A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the West Ridge neighborhood on the North Side.

The 19-year-old was in the 5800 block of North Washtenaw when a blue car pulled up about 1:35 p.m. and someone got out and fired several shots, according to Chicago Police. The shooter got back in the car and fled.

The man was shot in the right side and taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where his condition stabilized, police said.
