Kyle Schwarber

Will they ever learn?

Less than a week after a Kyle Schwarber home run ball smashed a parked car’s windshield outside Chicago’s spring training facility, another fan had the guts to park their vehicle (a BMW!) within striking distance of home plate.

Turns out it was a costly mistake.

The owner of the first car to be hit – identified as Peter Gesler – was lucky enough to have Schwarber arrange for the windshield to be fixed.

According to a previous Sun-Times report, Gesler even got to meet the Cubs left fielder while folks from Safelite replaced the window. Maybe the BMW owner parked near the ballpark with hopes of scoring a similar meet and greet.
