Two children were ejected from a car and seriously hurt in a crash Saturday morning on the West Side, according to the police.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. at North Hamlin Avenue and Lake Street when a Mercedes blew a red light on Hamlin and hit an Oldsmobile in the intersection, causing the Olds to spin and collide with a Chevrolet, ejecting the two boys, whose ages weren’t known, according to the police.
The boys were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, the police said.
The 25-year-old woman driving the Oldsmobile and the 27-year-old man driving the Mercedes were treated at Stroger Hospital, and the police were questioning the man late Saturday.
