Chicago Police are warning residents of armed robberies in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At least three armed robberies have been reported in the neighborhood since Feb. 13, according to a community alert from police. In each robbery, four males walk up to people and demand their property.

The robberies happened:

  • at 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 5200 block of South Whipple Street;
  • at 6:45 a.m. on Feb. 17 in the 5300 block of South Richmond Street;
  • and at 9:20 a.m. on Feb. 20 in the 5300 block of South Richmond Street.

The robbers are described as four Hispanic males, 15-20 years of age, standing 5-foot to 5-foot-6 and weighing 135-150 pounds, police said. They have brown eyes, black hair and some of them were wearing gray hooded sweatshirts and masks.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
