An 82-year-old northwest suburban man was fatally hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in northwest suburban Harwood Heights.
Edward R. Schultz was hit by a vehicle at West Lawrence Avenue and North Octavia Avenue around 3 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Schultz, of the 4700 block of North Octavia Avenue in Harwood Heights, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:45 p.m., according to the medical examiner.
An autopsy Sunday found he died of multiple injuries after being hit by a vehicle and his death was ruled an accident.
Harwood Heights police could not immediately provide further details.
