Police are warning residents of two recent armed robberies on the Near North Side.

In both incidents, three males walked up to a victim on the street in the evening hours, produced a black, semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim’s property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The most recent armed robbery happened Feb. 21 in the 800 block of North Franklin, while the other incident happened Feb. 9 in the 100 block of West Oak, police said.

The suspects are described as three black males, thought to be in their late teens to early 20s, police said.
