A man was shot while driving through the West Lawn neighborhood Monday afternoon on the Southwest Side.

The 27-year-old was driving in the 6600 block of South Karlov when he was shot in the back and hand, according to Chicago Police.

He kept driving until he crashed into another vehicle less than two blocks away in the 4100 block of West Marquette, police said.

The gunshot victim was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. Two other people injured in the crash were taken to Holy Cross Hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately available.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member.
