A 15-year-old boy was shot in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Saturday.

The teen was walking in the 4500 block of South Whipple about 2 a.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot him in the right leg and left foot, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.

Police said the teen is a documented gang member.
