A man was shot Friday in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.

A 25-year-old man was driving in the 7600 block of South Dorchester Avenue at 5:26 p.m. when he was shot in the back and abdomen, police said.

He showed up at Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
