A man was shot Saturday night in the Englewood neighborhood in the South Side.

At 10:32 p.m., a 37-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of South Peoria when someone walked up from a gangway across the street from him and fired shots, police said.

The man was shot in the left foot and he was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.
