A man was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side Sunday night.

At 7:11 p.m., a 29-year-old man was getting out of a car in the 900 block of North Fairfield Avenue when someone walked up and shot him, police said.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the face, chest and left hand, and he was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
