A man was shot Sunday night in the Albany Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 27-year-old was sitting in a parked car about 11:40 p.m. in the 3000 block of West Eastwood when two males got out of a black SUV nearby and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the head and left shoulder and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
