A 69-year-old woman has been charged with fatally striking a man with her vehicle and driving away from the scene last month in northwest suburban Norridge.

Irena Biskup faces a felony count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident for the Feb. 20 hit-and-run in the 7800 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to Norridge police.

Tomasz Radke, 35, was struck about 11:20 p.m. that night and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 6300 block of West Addison in Chicago.

Police released a surveillance photo last week of a vehicle seen in the area of the crash before announcing the charges Tuesday afternoon against Biskup, a Chicago resident from the 8500 block of West Rascher Avenue.

She was ordered held on a $75,000 bond and is due back in court March 24, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.
