A man was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 24-year-old was standing on a corner in the 300 block of West 116th Street about 1:40 a.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the buttocks, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
