A northwest suburban man was arrested and charged Tuesday with violating his sex offender registration.

Raymond G. Weirich, 36, of the 5400 block of Memory Trail in McHenry, was charged with one felony count of duty to report after he was found to be living in an unregistered address for three or more days in Fox Lake, according to a statement from the McHenry County sheriff’s office.

He was convicted in 1997 for sexually abusing a 16-year-old, according to the McHenry County sheriff’s records.

He was ordered held on $50,000 bond and his next court date has not been set, the sheriff’s office said.
