Police are asking for the public’s help in finding an 85-year-old man missing from north suburban Winnetka since Thursday morning.

John D. Nichols Jr. was last seen at 8:50 a.m. driving his four-door 2013 silver Volvo S60, possibly en route to Northbrook, according to a missing person alert from Winnetka police. The vehicle has an Illinois registration UBG298.

Nichols has a medical dependency that requires medication that may result in him becoming dispriented, police said.

He was wearing wire frame glasses, a fabric cap, a black windbreaker, a long sleeve maroon, green and white plaid collared dress shirt and khaki pants, police said.

Anyone with information on Nichols’ whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Winnetka police at (847) 501-6034.
