A ramp from the Veterans Memorial Tollway to I-80 was closed for nearly six hours Thursday morning after a tanker truck rolled over near southwest suburban New Lenox.

The truck rolled over into the right ditch at 3:57 a.m. on the southbound I-355 ramp leading to westbound I-80, according to a statement from Illinois State Police. The driver was transported to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox with non-life-threatening injuries.

The ramp remained closed until 9:44 a.m., police said. The ramp is now open, and police are investigating the cause of the crash.
