Man shot in Englewood

A 21-year-old man was shot late Friday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

He was on a porch about 11:15 p.m. in the 5600 block of South May when someone in the street fired shots, striking him in the leg and groin, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The man suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
