Man shot on Near West Side

A man was shot in the face early Sunday on the Near West Side.

About 4:40 a.m., the 28-year-old was in a vehicle in the 1000 block of West Randolph with three other people playing with a gun, when the gun accidentally discharged, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the face and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
