A 27-year-old man was shot Monday evening in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

He was walking in the 4000 block of West Roosevelt at 7:27 p.m. when someone in a passing gray car shot him in the left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.
