A 26-year-old man who was shot to death Friday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side has been identified.

Orlando Porter was sitting in a parked car in the 7300 block of South Paulina Street about 9:20 a.m. when a black, four-door car drove by and a passenger inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Porter, of the 7200 block of South Wood, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Police said the shooting may have been gang-related.
