A man who was fatally struck by a Metra train Saturday night in northwest suburban Ingleside has been identified.

Outbound train No. 2621 on the Milwaukee District/North Line struck a person about 8:30 p.m. near the Ingleside station, Metra spokesman Tom Miller said.

The Lake County coroner’s office has identified the man as 27-year-old John Mosansky of Round Lake. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
