A man was shot to death late Tuesday in the South Shore neighborhood.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 2300 block of East 70th Place about 11:05 p.m. found 23-year-old Antoine Crowder lying on the sidewalk unresponsive, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Crowder, who lived in the 8600 block of South Lowe Avenue, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later, authorities said.
