SURPRISE, Ariz. – Starting pitcher John Lackey will be the first Cubs pitcher to bat in a Cactus League game this spring – even if the opponent is using the DH.

The Cubs’ lineup Wednesday against the reigning-champion Kansas City Royals in Surprise, Ariz.:

Showers and gusty winds moving through Chicago on Thursday
