Man shoots himself in Douglas

A man shot himself late Wednesday in the Douglas neighborhood on the South Side.

The 22-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the hand shortly before midnight in the 3400 block of South Prairie Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in good condition, police said.
