A person walked into a hospital Thursday evening after he was shot that morning in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The male, whose age was not known, told investigators he was shot about 8 a.m. in the 5500 block of South May, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg later that evening, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
