A man was shot as he rode in a vehicle in the Gold Coast neighborhood early Friday.

The 33-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle in the 1200 block of North State at 3:37 a.m. when someone in another vehicle opened fire, striking him in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
