A man and woman were shot and wounded early Saturday as they drove in the 4200 block of South Marshfield in Back of the Yards, according to the police.

They said the pair, both 29, were shot around 12:20 a.m. by someone in a sport-utility vehicle that pulled up next to their vehicle.

The man was shot in his left shoulder, and the woman suffered a graze wound to the head, according to the police, who said they were able to drive to Mount Sinai Hospital.
