Man shot while driving through Calumet Heights

A man was shot while driving Wednesday afternoon in the South Side Calumet Heights neighborhood.

The 21-year-old was driving southbound in the 9400 block of South Stony Island Avenue about 12:40 p.m. when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The victim continued driving for a few blocks until he pulled over in the 1600 block of East 95^th Street and alerted police.

He was shot in the back and buttocks and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.
