2015 wasn’t great for Illinois’ wealthiest residents.

Of the 17 billionaires whose primary home is in the Land of Lincoln, 11 saw their net worth shrink. Three others’ net worth was unchanged.

Ken Griffin, the founder of Citadel LLC, retained his spot as the wealthiest person in Illinois. Griffin climbed 59 spots to 157th on Forbes annual ranking of the world’s billionaires.

Mark Walter, chief executive of Guggenheim Partners LLC, made the biggest jump in the rankings among Illinoisans, moving up 196 spots from last year to 810th overall.

The biggest slide in the rankings was posted by Jean “Gigi” Pritzker, the Hyatt heiress and Hollywood producer. She slipped 117 spots to 854th overall.

Bill Gates topped the list, with a net worth of $75 billion. Rounding out the top five were Amancio Ortega, Warren Buffett, Carlos Slim Helu and Jeff Bezos.

The magazine’s 30th ranking of the world’s richest people includes 1,810 billionaires. Last year’s list had a record 1,826 names on it.
