Man, woman shot in Englewood

A man and woman were shot Wednesday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 6400 block of South Eggleston about 2 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

A 38-year-old woman was shot in the left thigh and abdomen and taken to St. Bernard Hospital, then was transferred to Stroger Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the right shoulder and also taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was also stabilized.
