A man died after he was found shot early Wednesday in south suburban Burnham.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired at West State Street and Calhoun Avenue about 1:20 a.m., according to Burnham police.

They found 32-year-old Vincent Means inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Means, who lived in the 0-100 block of Paxton Avenue in Calumet City, was taken to Franciscan St. Margaret Health in Hammond, Indiana, where he was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m., according to the Lake County coroner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Burnham Police Chief Peter Belos said the department is checking video in the area. No one was in custody as of Wednesday morning.

Burnham police are investigating with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
