Hang it where?

Puck place: An affable and relaxed President Barack Obama was so delighted to be presented by the Chicago Blackhawks with a painting depicting their Stanley Cup wins at the White House on Thursday, he pointed to wall space in the historic East Room where he wanted it hung!

Then POTUS, an avid Chicago sports fan, abruptly changed his mind.

“Oh, perhaps not there,” Obama chuckled . . . noting that would have placed the Hawks painting on the wall next to the national portrait of President George Washington.

Ka-ching!

Ante Up! Sneed hears Obama told several of his legislative poker buddies in Springfield last week the secret to his poker winnings.

“He claimed his success was due to sipping his beer slowly and staying coherent during poker games,” said RTA chairman Kirk Dillard, an old Obama legislative pal.

• Chit chat: “He also claimed the poker winnings also helped pay for daughters Sasha and Malia’s college fund,” added Dillard . . . “and that he was freaking out over his daughters entering the dating age because there was nothing he could do about it.”

The Hillary notebook .  .  .

Photo op! As Sneed has reported ad nauseam this week, Hillary Clinton’s childhood roots run deep with schoolmates who grew up in Park Ridge.

• Click! Pop! Shortly before she exited Chicago on Wednesday night, Hillary paused to let her best childhood chum, Betsy Ebeling, snap a photo of classmates which include Patsy Bowles; Don Moel and wife Hardye; and the Moels’ granddaughter, Simone, 7, at the Venue One eatery.

Nails in the nave!

Is the pew stew unleashed by Donald Trump and Pope Francis’ views on immigration walls going to cause a wave of anti-Catholicism to erupt?

• Quoth the pope on Trump: “A person who thinks only of walls, and not bridges, is not Christian.”

Is Trump’s thwack at the pope for naivete going to cost The Donald Catholic votes?

• Quoth Trump on Pope Francis: “For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful.”

The pollsters are going nuts.

Stay tuned.

Hmmm. Hmmm.

Ladies, take your pews.

• Fact: Donald Trump’s current wife, Melania, hails from Slovenia,

• Fact: Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana, hails from the country once known as Czechoslovakia.

• Fact: Both of these former Communist controlled countries have historically, predominantly Catholic populations.

Ladies? Any comments?

Antennas up!

Chicago may be entering its golden age of television?

“It’s the busiest Chicago has ever been,” said Alex Pissios, President of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios.

• Consider: In addition to “Chicago Med,” “Chicago P.D.” and “Empire,” three new FOX pilots will be filming in the Chicago area this spring: “A.P.B.,” “The Exorcist” and “Zoobiquity.”

• Consider: There are also two Amazon projects titled “The Patriot,” a series written and directed by Chicagoan Steve Conrad and an untitled Nash Edgerton project with actress Charlize Theron.

• Consider: Netflix’s Sense8 recently filmed segments for their second season and Dreamworks’ “Office Christmas Party” will be in town for a few days of filming in March. And a new FOX series titled “Chicago Law” may also be in the works.
