A man was pulled from a lake after his boat sank Saturday afternoon on a lake in the Hegewisch neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit responded to a man calling for help from a sinking boat in Wolf Lake near 126th Street and Avenue O about 1:50 p.m., according to police.

The male, whose age wasn’t immediately available, was conscious when he was pulled from the water by the Chicago Fire Department and taken to Trinity Hospital in fair condition, police said.

His boat was also salvaged from the lake, police said.
