A 37-year-old man was shot early Sunday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

He was sitting in a car at a stop sign just after midnight in the 8500 block of South Paulina when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the side and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
