An 18-year-old man died after he was ejected from the pickup truck he was driving early Monday in west suburban Aurora.

Bryan J. Westcott Jr. was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram southbound in the 300 block of Woodlawn Avenue about 12:10 a.m. when the pickup left the road and struck a tree, according to a statement from Aurora police.

Westcott was ejected from the pickup, which flipped over and struck a house, then landed on top of Westcott, police said.

Westcott, who was homeless, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:39 a.m., police said.

The home that was struck by the pickup was unoccupied at the time of the crash but sustained severe damage, police said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Aurora police traffic investigators at (630) 256-5330.
