A man was found shot to death early Friday on a sidewalk in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Tyree D. Grant, 23, was found unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 10500 block of South Dauphin at 1:08 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Grant, of the 100 block of West 112th Street, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:12 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of five gunshot wounds to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide, authorities said.
