A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood Monday night on the South Side.

The 21-year-old was shot in the right shoulder about 9:45 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Laflin, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.

Less than an hour earlier, one person was killed and three others were wounded in a shooting about four blocks west.
