A man was shot to death Tuesday morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Alcaraz C. Reyes, 34, was shot in the chest at 6:18 a.m. in the 5200 block of South Winchester, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Reyes, who lived on the same block where he was shot, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:08 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

Additional details were not immediately available as Area Central detectives conduct a homicide investigation.
