A 19-year-old man was shot to death early Wednesday in the Back of Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers called to perform a well-being check at 12:24 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Hermitage found the victim lying unresponsive in the alley, according to Chicago Police.

Armani Dickinson of the 13000 block of South Ellis had suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:39 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The complaint, field Wednesday, said the companies violated the state and federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act by failing to properly notify employees that they’d be laid off.
