A man was shot late Tuesday in the Loop.

The 18-year-old got into an argument with someone about 11:20 p.m. on West Congress Parkway near South Dearborn Street when the suspect pulled out a handgun and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the chest and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
