Police are warning residents of two robberies that occurred Wednesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
In both incidents, the suspect approached the victim from behind and announced a robbery, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
The robberies occurred about 7:19 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Avers and again about 7:54 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Ridgeway, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 18 and 23 years old, standing between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-8, weighing between 120 and 150 pounds, police said.
